Hotel is decent. However the shuttle service was annoying. On the website they said theres a free shuttle service, but you will need to get off at a bestwestern and transfer to this hotel. Nothing said about reserving. The time table shows around 15mins. We take the first shuttle and get off to transfer, we are waiting about 30 mins, the second shuttle still doesnt show. We go into the best western to ask them. Front desk says she doesnt know might be 30’mins to an hour ( we are only 5 mins away from the hotel..) she says the driver doesnt know. She told another guest that the driver is stubborn so no one knows…. We ended up taken an uber because the whole thing was a waste of time. At the hotel its written you have to make a reservation for the shuttle for the next morning. We ask if this is direct or another transfer situation. He says all the morning shuttles are direct. But it was not. Make sure you call ahead if you want to take the shuttle when you arrive to Amsterdam even thought their website says it continues to run all day/night.

This hotel is just the basics. If that’s what you need, then go for it. Parking spots are too small. Everyone was struggling.
A quiet and clean hotel. All the receptionists( especially Renata, but also the others) and the housekeepers spoiled us with their amiability. The drivers from the shuttle buses were punctual and very kind. The breakfast was good and variate. Me and my husband spent beautiful moments at this accommodation. We definitely come back in the future at this charming hotel.
The hotel was a bit hard to find because the driveway is kind of hidden behind bushes. The hotel is relatively modern, has 2 levels and has a great restaurant and bar attached. The breakfast buffet is amazing and worth the extra money. Check in was fast and easy and the room was on the ground floor as I requested. The bed was very comfortable. You have to insert your key into a receptacle to turn the power on in the room.
The corridor dirty had not been vacuumed. Tried to have dinner in restaurant, they did not communicate that they did not receive food order, the service was shocking. Waited long time to even get a drink, eventually managed to place our food order, told no potato or chips, we then agreed on salad replacement. After about 1 & half hours managed to get our chicken wings started which was over cooked and dry. Waited so long for our mains only to eventually after 3 hours in restaurant be told they have no food on main menu only soup. Have just never experienced anything so poor, Words cannot describe the horror experience. After 4 hours in restaurant managed to only have 3 dried chicken wings & bowl of soup with roll. If they communicated from the start they did not have food we could have gone somewhere else at 18.00, but 22.00 too late as had no transport to try get somewhere else to get food. Service and communication was shocking. Worst hotel experience ever, unfortunately cannot recommend them to anyone
Easy check in, responsive staff, handy location. Sometimes hard to sleep at night due to noise from other patrons. Hotel has a bar which is open till 1am, so you get guests noisily heading to their rooms late at night, also the fire doors in the corridor close very noisily.
An overnight stay caused by a cancelled flight. The Bastion was close and a very good price for what it offers. The service was superior because the shuttle driver drove us to the sister hotel (there are two Bastions) as a favor, going off of his route.
