We chose a sea view room and a large balcony, in the daytime on the balcony in the sun, watching the sea view, listening to music, simply too cozy. The hotel is elegant in all its amenities and is still very well maintained despite the years. Every employee was courteous. We will prefer this hotel next time.

Friendly staff and a classic old building. Stunning interior although a bit tired in places away from public areas (renovation planned soon). Ideal for the sea front (especially Brighton Centre next door but immediate area a little daunting after dark.

Really enjoyed the piano player on Sunday and sipping cocktails in the lounge/bar area. Perfect way to pass the evening. Thought the room would be bigger (from pictures it makes it look that way) but it was still nice and had lovely amenities. Not such a fan of being able to hear the people next door talking - would be good if they had better soundproofing - but I'd still visit again.

Great staff and very welcoming. The help we received when we pulled up outside was amazing and the reception staff could not have been more helpful and checked us in quickly and efficiently. The only disappointment was that there was a lot of work going on inside (near our room) and on scaffolding to the outside. I appreciate maintenance work has to be done but no mention of potential inconvenience or apology for it was made by the hotel. As the weather was so bad we spent a little more time in our room than was planned but this was regularly interrupted by drilling, banging and general noise.

Moved rooms as first room ceiling in bad state should not be occupied 2nd room better but bathroom either has scalding water or freezing cold water in shower and wash hand basin maintenance and house keeping need better, not enjoyable at all, maintenance should spot that cartridges or washers could solve this and to freshen up painting in areas, not clean and met some disgruntled staff some bordering on rude and some helpful pleasant ones too, breakfast good choices but afternoon tea not nice - some stale quiches and very little filling in dry sandwiches overall wouldn’t stay again, shame as beautiful building and features

Great stay at the Grand! Our weather was terrible but the hotel was cozy and inviting. The staff was friendly and we loved how close it was the The Lanes for great shopping and would highly recommend the Seahorse restaurant nearby as well as the BEST british pub - the Lion and the Lobster. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were unbelievable and friendly. They were so nice and just made you feel so welcome. Service was unbelievable. The lounge had great vibes, where even a fellow hotel stayer played thebpiano, and we all sang along to "let it be" and a few more. Breakfast, was justbwow, everythi g fresh and just perfect, that includes the seating and vue.

Beautiful place, probably warranting the higher price. A bit annoying up-sell messages several times before the trip. Expensive parking in NCP car park.

Noisy builders next door. I complained at reception but was told there was nothing they could do. I think they could have offered to move me to a quieter part of the hotel.

The property is showing its age. Windows didn’t open. Weird climate system that requires key to operate. The key to enter took a few tries. Only the service elevator was operational. Other than that, the staff were great, the food and service was amazing.

This is our second stay at The Grand. It is a beautiful hotel - a little shabby in places. Surprised to find that in a huge hotel like this that both lifts were out of order and only one small service lift for all huests plus service requirements. Breakfast is a fantastic offering although sorry to see that since our last visit you now need to use drink machines yourself. It is ok paying £20 for a fabulous buffet but it is nice to be served tea and coffee. Difficult to carry both breakfast and do drinks at the same time so involves an extra trip up to buffet. Will definitely be back.
