Cannot say enough about this resort. It is over the top CLEAN and everyone from the grounds keeper to the managers are super friendly. It was our anniversary so they even went above to make our stay super special. The pools were super clean. The beach was nice and they had so much seating in the beach area.

As Celiacs we didn’t know about dining options. But every dinner place had a couple gf options. Chez Isabelle was our favourite. Tipping was weird. No one seemed to want tips which was weird. But overall good experience

Excellence has amazing food the staff is amazing. The resort was very clean along with the pool and the beach area. I’ve gone to Mexico about eight times and this is the best place I’ve ever stayed. They had some good entertainment on the beach and at night. I felt totally pampered at this resort and I would highly recommend it.

Santos was excellent at the pool. Prompt and attentive. I have stayed at this resort and many other Excellence resorts previously and it was always one of my favorites. I noticed that the quality has definitely dropped. Dining options have been reduced with the lunch buffet being eliminated and many restaurants being closed. With no option to make a reservation and limited availability the wait times for dinner seating became ridiculous with having to wait 90 minutes or more at times unless you ate dinnner at @ 6 PM and lined up outside from 5:30. Getting back to our room at 4:30 and still needed to wait to get it cleaned.The entertainment has also suffered with only one pleasant show being the Pop Star night. The standards have dropped and the cost has gone up. A bottle of wine that would cost probably $10. sold for $75. USD. Mexican night required you to purchase a bottle of wine to participate. The worst was actually being told to go to my room and order room service if wanted french fries at the pool as the pool side restaurant would not do take out. Standards have certainly dropped. Too bad as I really loved this chain and have stayed at all of the resorts multiple times in the past and recommended it to family and friends. I will have to find a new favorite all inclusive for future vacations.

The property was perfect. Only complaints are, i didn’t like that there weren't menus at the restaurants, you had to take your phobe everywhere to look up the menus. I wanted to be able to leave my phone in my room. The room service food was terrible and so was the coffee. I also think the dress code was a little too fancy. It could be a little more lenient. Overall, loved it.

Really liked the gym facility and in particular Zania Companera and Carolina Rios who were kind and helpful and made the workout experience pleasant. We also enjoyed the variety of food and restaurant venues (with the exception of the Indian restaurant). Also, loved the room which had a daybed beside the pool.

The property is wonderful with lots of pool space for whatever you desire. The pool with a bar for fun and socializing to the lazy river for hanging with friends to the private swim-up pool for relaxing. We had no issues finding chair and the service in the pool areas was exceptional. The staff at this resort where amazing. They were extremely attentive, friendly and made our experience truly enjoyable. The food was outstanding for an all-inclusive if you went to the sit down restaurants. We were most impressed with the French, Spanish and Steak house. Breakfast was good at the buffet, but nothing special. The only issue we had at the resort was with the concierge staff. We had 3 interactions with them and all resulted in issues. It was really no big deal with any one of the services requested, but having any issue with them on 3/3 encounters seemed less like a coincidence, and rather a lack of attentiveness or neglect on their part. That said, we still had a wonderful experience and we continue to feel that the Excellence properties in Mexico are our favorite all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. I would highly recommend.

This hotel was beautiful for couples. However, trying to do meals as a group of 8 was difficult and we were often told we couldn’t get tables to all sit together. Even breaking into groups of 4 for some meals was not an option. It was unfortunate the staff was not more accommodating to groups.
