This hotel is lovely. Really beautifully decorated and maintained and such a brilliant location being just out the back entrance of Waverley station! Surprisingly quiet given how central it is. Lovely stay.

A great hotel in a great location! After being in so many tiny rooms during our stay in Europe (particularly the bathrooms), it was so nice to feel like we had room. The hotel has all the amenities you would need, even a Dyson hair dryer and a straightener for women! That may seem small but when you travel with very little, those feel like luxuries. The slippers and robes were also a nice touch! The hotel is very convenient to the train station and walking distance to all the sight seeing stops in Edinburgh! Would love to stay here again!

Outstanding hotel with great services. Really close to the Waverly train station. I was able to take a leisurely walk to all the tourist hotspots such as Edinburgh Castle. Highly recommended.

Very good. Allowed to check in a little early. The room was smaller than expected but very nice and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location was convenient to the Train station, old town and new tiwn areas.

My wife and I traveled 15 days in Scotland and stayed at 6 different hotels. The Market Street hotel was our final hotel and was "the icing on the cake." It was a perfect way to end our trip and the most comfortable place we stayed. Everything was perfect from the modern, clean room down to the room amenities. A full coffee and tea station in the room allowed us to make it just the way we liked it. The complimentary mini bar was a bonus. The hotel location is perfect for visiting High street. The champagne breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. Be sure to pre-book it with your room if you can. The hotel concierge, Peter, gave us great dinner location recommendations and made it easy for us to dine well. All of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. If we come back to Edinburgh, the Market Street hotel will be our first choice for our stay.

This is a very convenient hotel - so close to the station and to interesting areas of Edinburgh. It is the second ime we have stayed The staff are very nice and one does feel welcomed The room was spotless We tend to graduate to the bar in the evening which has a lovely view but the temperature control tends to be poor and the lighting in your face - I am sure that the hotel will sort this out when the time comes It was a pleasure to stay here

We needed a quick place to stay before flying home and this hotel was fantastic for that. The room is a bit small, but had enough space for both of us. The best part about this hotel is definitely its staff, as they are all very welcoming and go above and beyond. We had a very early morning, and the staff offered to put together a breakfast to take with us to the airport – a very nice gesture.

The staff was great and friendly. Very helpful as it was our first day in the city. A lot of little details done right. Took our bags and placed them in the room before check in so we could explore the city while we waited. Complimentary champagne and drinks in the mini fridge. Will always come back whenever in the city.

Although I got a great rate here, this was a "splurge" hotel for me and worth every pence. The location in Old Town, literally across the street from Waverley Station, could not be more convenient yet much quieter than hotels right on the Royal Mile. The staff offers a warm welcome and a cold glass of bubbly on arrival, and the rooms are loaded with upscale perks such as complimentary mini bar, robes, slippers, extra blankets, umbrellas and more. The top floor bar/restaurant offers a sweeping view of Princes street. Design-wise, the place has a thoroughly modern vibe with a traditional Scottish flair.
