Pros: Beautiful view of Loch across from the hotel. Area was quiet and felt safe. Bathrooms were well lit. Blackout curtains were sufficient. Breakfast buffet was well done - we have several food allergies in our family and they very cheerfully helped us determine which foods might be best for us.
Cons: Bathrooms could use an update or at least a better cleaning. Towels were a bit dingy and even stained.
We got in late evening and left early morning, so we did not spend much time in the hotel. It met our family’s needs and we would recommend to anyone on a budget looking to stay in the Ft. William area.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Old, tired hotel that needs major maintenance. Mold in the bathtub, outer skirt of bathtub was falling off.
Dinner was a major disappointment. Flavorless steak, frozen carrots, potatos needed salt (and I never add salt)
Order wine by the color from the bar staff
This was a last minute booking so didn’t really have an expectation, however from arriving to leaving it was a lovey experience, the room was a little dated but clean with lovely view over the loch . Bed very comfortable and en/suite clean .
We had already eaten during the day so didn’t use the restaurant in the evening instead choosing a pizza as a bar meal which was nicely presented and tasty . The bonus for the evening was a live singer who sang a selection of different hits we all know
Overall a very pleasant stay

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Room was spacious but no PowerPoints near the bed. The tv was very small. The room was quiet and the beds were comfortable. Floor was very noisy to walk on. Minimal consumables in the room. Big advantage was a lift. Breakfast was good and very reasonably priced.
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL!
After seeing the very unclean, outdated and certainly overpriced room I was very disappointed. Luckily we were only staying for one night or I definitely would have booked in elsewhere.
As me and my friends laughed off the overpriced hotel room and set off to climb the very close Ben Nevis I came to realise the bites on my arm which could of only been one thing which is the dreaded bed bugs!
I reached out to Expedia to tell them about my health and safety concern which they dealt with very well however on the other hand the hotel which was contacted regarding the complaint refused to hold any accountability or offer any type of compensation. Listen to the reviews and stay well away from this dump.
There are some refurbished rooms on the loch side but we had old rooms backing onto a slope below the car park. The window was open on arrival to mask a musty damp smell. The wallpaper was bubbled and ripped in places. The soap and shower gel dispensers were not properly fixed to the walls. The bathroom bin hadn’t been emptied and the room was cold. The worst was the mattress was in a terrible state- the springs had gone.
The public areas were fine and all bed linen and towels were clean. Staff were friendly but the room was well below standard especially at nearly £200 a night. We mentioned all issues on departure and the receptionist did apologise.
On site breakfast was very good. Parking was convenient. Room was quiet and we felt comfortable. Nothing too fancy but a good value for the price we paid. Fort Willaim is a nice town with some good shops and pubs but unfortunately the “fort” was torn down for the railroad a hundred years ago.

Lovely hotel. Receptionist,Ria, was very efficient ,helpful ,polite and very friendly. She made us feel very welcome and answered all our questions about the area. Ria and the girls in the bar who served us not only looked after us but our wee dog was treated very well and given lots of love. The hotel is nice but the staff make it a place that we would definately return to.
