Hotel for being so highly rated was big let down. Overall cleanliness was way below par from other places in area. Room had sour wet carpet smell.

The shower valves were difficult to operate(almost broken), and the bathtub was dirty. The room had a terrible smell of mold. The screen on the lobby counter was unsightly and gave a very bad impression upon entry; I was not sure whether it was a relic from the pandemia, or a bulletproof screen. Breakfast was poor.

Cruise ship: Princess cancelled the cruise two days before sailing and past the deadline to cancel our room. Too keep this from happening, we will have to drive all the way down to the port on the day of departure. In the past the (Quality Inn at I45) stays were excellent.

Check in was easy and the staff friendly. The room felt damp and smelled musty. Their was too much air freshener used in the hallways. The room seemed clean but because of the humidity in the room and the musty smell I didn't feel comfortable staying with my allergies. They offered me another room but i have a feeling they all would have been similar. I decided to stay somewhere else.
