This was now my second stay at this place through a different hotel booking site. This was in hopes we would get a cleaner room than last time. This time we were treated from the very start when we arrived quite rudely. We had been then told a bond was to be put down ( this was not a thing 3 weeks ago when i stayed through air bnb ). When i had mentioned this was not in the booking information, the reception lady snarched the paper off me and told me to cancel my booking than throubh the website and find somewhere else. My partner and i were shocked, and just said no that was fine, it was late, we were tired and just assumed maybe she was having a bad afternoon. We get to our hotel room, it is actually disgusting that the room was not cleaned at all. Not even the tops of the side tables were cleaned. They all had some type of stickiness and grime to them. The bathroom was appalling. We think that someone may of had a stomach bug previous, because we were both sick the entire stay. I could not find anyone to contact to help, we were told that we could not have another room. And basically had nowhere elese to go apart from stay at this hotel. Both experiences have been disgusting and i advise to not book at this place.

Don't be fooled by the outside appearance. There are no USB wall chargers, only built for plug-ins - it's 2024 guys, you need to update that! You'd think they'd have a plug to spare, but NO! They were kind enough to charge my devices for me, I'll give them that, but come on! I had to BUY new ones because no one helped. Also, I tried to call, asking about a related matter, but the accent was so thick I couldn't understand what she was saying. I much prefer it being written and sent through email if a language barrier is going to be an issue

Hot water issues.
Hot water switched on and off at will. Had cold and warm showers. Dining order had me going back and forth from bar to dining area as pizzas are cooked at bar and rest at dinning area. Bar staff was actually very helpful. A lot of noise also early morning from neighbours with staff not really taking action.

Service was terrible manager shouted at me and wouldn’t confirm booking was received. The room I booked said harbour view with balcony but I was on the ground floor no balcony and no view. Very dated facilities and no room cleaning provided during the stay. Very disappointing experience and we will not be returning.

Arrived after work to check in, only to be told someone had already checked in under our name. Was given a key for a room, only to find someone residing in that room already. Given a key to another room and told it was a very good room, but come to find the room had not been cleaned, shower leaked, light bulbs near bed broken, tv not working, stains all over carpet and wardrobe door had recently had a beat down by a previous resident. Brought these issues to employee and was offered dinner on the house, which took an hour and 40mins to relieve, because the communication between staff is just non existent. Breakfast the next morning was late to start and really disappointing. Cereal was stale and buffet food offered was lacking. I have stayed at one star hotels that were better. Overall being on Hope Island I expected a lot better.

Leaking aircon ,wasnt fixed over 5 days , couldn't open the door to go in or out due to shoddy handle , wasn't fixed ,lifts didnt work one morning ,no staff on the desk until 2pm, dont recommend this hotel to anyone

From the minute we got there, this place was a fail. The internet pics look great but, receptionist was not welcoming and not at all helpful. Once we found our room, the towels were stained, the doonas were dirty, the showerhead was barely hanging on, the pull out clothes line was broken and 1 roll of toilet paper. In the kitchenette, there was no coffee, no cutlery or plates. There was only 1 small rubbish bag. The downstairs restaurant took 15 mins to come to the counter once our thickshake order was placed, only to serve up a bodgy milkshake. Dinner was way over cooked. The burger patty was tough, the chicken was so overfried it was almost black and the salad was soggy. The pizza from the bar was so sloppy when you picked it up, all the toppings fell off. The pool could use a clean and the outdoor furniture replaced as most were broken. On a whole, ill never return. This place is over priced and under maintained. Give it a miss if you have standards for the price you pay.
