It’s an older hotel but has a lot of character. Lots of great restaurants in the area especially the fish and chips across the street. The room was warm and couldn’t open the windows but the staff provided a fan.

OK for a one night stay on a road trip
Old, small room with view to fire exit/roof. Way to room from backside parking was like going through a maze. Window handles were missing screws, bathroom doors didn’t close, only 1 light in the room, no heat, dirty carpet, only one plus was a king bed with a quite good mattress. Breakfast was ok.

Lovely Victorian hotel having modern problems
A lovely friendly hotel having problems with recent updates. Heating wasn’t working and despite having to ask twice finally got a heater which we were grateful for. Fancy rain type shower which unfortunately wasn’t contained within the base and leaked all over the bathroom floor. No hot water in the morning. Great choice at breakfast but expensive.
