I really enjoyed my stay at Bay Gardens Resort. The scenery around the resort is beautiful. We had a pool side view room in which 6 of us stayed. The room was very clean, spacious and had almost everything we needed and more. We had our own kitchen with all the utensils you can possibly need. There was a washer/dryer in the kitchen which came in handy. In the bathroom, there were medium sized shampoo, conditioner and body wash that were always full instead of those tiny bottles that never seem to be enough. In bedroom we had a T.V. and also in the living room. Some things that I didn't care for was that the bathtub was a bit difficult to get in and out of especially for older people and the mattress in the sofa bed was really uncomfortable. My main problem at the resort was that my family and I are vegetarians and there were not many options for us except for the buffet breakfast. Doesn't make much sense taking an all inclusive package and then not being able to eat most things.

The wife and I were part of a large family gathering to celebrate a 30th Birthday. We were there for 4 nights the other 20 family members spent 10 nights. The hotel struggled to cater for a large group during dinner times. On one night we all walked out after a 80 minute wait for our dinner orders. We had all flown from the UK and were very disappointed with the dinner service and the checking in. The hotel did make a big effort to improve our dining experience but the damage had already been done. I did notice that the American guests were treated much better than we were. I have stayed at several resorts in St Lucia, including the Landings, Coconut Bay, Coco Palm to name a few. The Bay Gardens Resort & Spa falls well short of their standards.

The Bay Gardens Resort is a great hotel, staff were amazing, rooms large and comfortable, food excellent, fabulous cocktails, the only downside is the constant pestering from beach vendors, it didn’t spoil our holiday but we had to compromise and sit at the pool.

This hotel hit the mark all around. I loved that the beach was so close to the hotel. The view of our room was just breathtaking! The location of the hotel was secluded which I liked. However, the hotel provided transportation to their sister hotels which was very useful. That allowed us to get to some desitations. The inside of our room was lovely! The kitchen area allowed us to cook which helped save some money. There was AC, a second toilet and a clothes washer/dryer combo! It came in handy! Staff were friendly, although we came across a couple that were not. I booked through Expedia and got a flight/hotel package which worked with my budget. The only downside was, because the hotel area is open to the public, the locals were around and were quite persistent selling their goods. At times it took away from the tranquility one got from just being at the beach. I plan to return to this hotel if I return to the Rodney Bay area.

The resort was alright, the staff were very warm and friendly. But there were plumbing issues, seems like a general problem throughout the buildings. The main door to my room was sticking a lot and very noisy when closing. The WiFi was down for almost an entire day so that was an issue. The good thing is the fact that it’s directly on a beach (beach resort) which is beautiful plus there’s a huge pool. Also the staff being friendly and service was good. They tried to help out with any issue and were very kind and understanding.
