Butterfly on Wellington has a great location in Central! It's a short walking distance to the numerous public transit options (MTR, ferries, ding-dings), close to many incredible restaurants and historical attractions (check out Tai Kwun!). The rooms are clean and the bed is comfortable. There were a couple stains on the bedsheets but we were able to get new ones so that was no problem. The regular rooms are small, so the bed is quite close to the bathroom. However, you can upgrade to a superior room with more space. The bathroom clean and modern with a walk-in shower that had great shower pressure. Rooms were quiet and we had no issues with noise. Front-guest staff speaks English and is helpful and accommodating. I would recommend staying here for the great location, good value, and clean, quiet rooms.

Good location in Central
A boutique property that is well located to the central MTR and the AirPort Express train station. A little upslope getting from the main road to Wellington. Could be a problem if you are lugging a heavy load but fine for me as I only had a small bag for my three night stay. Construction going on just next door but it did not bother us as we were out just before the construction noise starts and back just before they end their day. Noise was fairly well insulated with double glazed windows. As for food, street and restaurant were a plenty within 5-8 min walk. Overall a descent property

Rooms are much larger than I expected. Our room included an air purifier to try to help with humidity. Really enjoyed the rain shower and I would say that sound was not an issue with our room. Really enjoyed the location!

A lot of attractions and good restaurants in walking distance. Transport is a bit of a walk in rain, but is close if weather is good. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the room was looking quite dated. The bathroom is modern enough, but the sink wouldn't drain fast enough, so we always had a full sink of soapy or toothpaste water after use. Our family of 3 got the room with 3 single beds, and the size is quite tight. Lucky we had a 7 year old and not a teenager or third adult. But this is middle of Hong Kong so I guess it is a what it is. Overall I would stay again as everything was good when we got used to the place. But I might find somewhere bigger when my kids are older.

there is perpetual construction going on around butterfly and it's really hard to walk to and from the hotel. so while it's location is unbeatable, the road to the hotel is just so hard with the construction going on. but the thing that puts us off the most about the hotel is the strong sewage stench that emits from the toilet. i contemplated getting some air freshener even though my stay was just three nights.

Great location, good sized room. I'm not sure if it was because of the recent weather, but the whole hotel was very humid, lots of dehumidifiers everywhere. I could use my CPAP machine without a humidity chamber. Universal electric outlets. I would stay again on a future trip.
