The Lincoln Hotel has a magnificent view of Lincoln Cathedral. It is quiet and extremely comfortable and clean. Only down side was having to pay for parking on top of the bill to stay there.

Great hotel near the cathedral
Ideal location for exploring Lincoln and great view of the cathedral from the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The location of the hotel is ideal for a weekend visit to this jewel of a town. Its car park makes for a really relaxing break after a long journey. The hotel is comfortable and the staff are welcoming and efficient. Good value for money.

Hotel staff very friendly, we only had breakfast there so can’t comment on the dinners, we could fault the breakfast we had plenty of choices and could have as much or as little as you wanted. The hotel was very clean, the only negative comment I can say is that the hotel it’s self needed a good makeover as the paintwork in the bedroom was chipped and really let the look of the rooms down. The hotel had it’s own car park, it was right opposite the cathedral and had plenty of shops and restaurants around

Money needs spending in the right places.
Came for an overnight stay to see about booking for our wedding venue but the outside of the building isnt very nice which is a shame as the view of the cathedral from the hotel is beautiful. The decor is good inside, cleanliness is ok but even though it wasnt that busy it took a while for tables to get cleared of empty cups and glasses. The floor in the dining area where we was sat beside our table was full of toe/finger nails too! The area they use for the wedding reception isnt very nice, the carpet is filthy from breakfast stains and just old and ruined, really low ceiling and the bar for the function is just pointless! Just not worth the asking price they want for having your wedding there. The Smell of the hallways going to the rooms on the first floor smelt like a nursing home which wasnt pleasant at all. The bed was all sunken in and very uncomfortable and was the worst night sleep ever. Definitely changed my mind about booking my wedding reception there. The staff are very friendly and helpful though.

Worth a stay
We had a good stay, despite the awful historical reviews from others. We asked for and received a quiet room. Breakfast buffet was excellent, room very clean and staff very helpful. Yes it.s dated and decor dubious.and room quite hot in October so perhaps a problem in summer. Location perfect for the cathedral.

The staff was great. It was unfortunate in the morning our lights in the room did not turn on so we had to go to the front desk and they checked their breakers. Other than that, cute hotel.
