Welcoming and approachable reception team. Sumptuous breakfast and staff very helpful, in fact going out of their way to help. Enjoyable spa with great staff .Overall a brillant experience. The hotel was very handy for my early flight. Too expensive for what it’s, 5* but not really getting 5* service. My room faced the internal courtyard/commercial space I couldn’t sleep until 1am due to the noise. No plug sockets by the bed and the bathroom wasn’t the best functional The access to the pool is chargeable £30 for 60 minutes and no mention of this when booking.

Best airport hotel near Heathrow. Being connected to terminal 5 is the “icing on the cake”. Was not pleased for not recognizing me as an Accor member since my booking was made by a travel agency (Expedia), hence the 3 stars for staff and service.

When we arrived at the Sofitel at 1:15pm the desk clerk informed us that check in time was 3pm. However for a fee of 40 pounds he could provide us with a similar room and we could check in now. We declined. However I suggested that a more effective way to nickel and dime us would be to install pay toilets in the rooms. Say 25 pounds every time you used the bathroom.

Convenient nice hotel at T5 in Heathrow.
Nice spacious rooms. Great beds. Located in Heathrow's Terminal 5, it is very convenient to be at the airport already if you have an early flight. Great selection of restaurants. Their reception can use more staff. There was a long line for both check in and checkout.

Firstly our door key didn't work and we had to return to Reception to get a new one. Secondly the bathroom and entry lighting went on at 1am and I had to get out of bed to turn it off. Thirdly [and the most annolying], the Smoke Alarm went off twice, first at 3am and then again at 5am. We had requested a wake up call for 6am but decided it was not worth going to sleep. We booked this hotel to get a good nights sleep; before a long flight the next day and we definitely did not get that and it was not cheap!! I reported our problems to Reception and I was told the Manager would be in touch. It is now one week and no contact!
