Good hotel, good room, but hazardous shower!
This is a solid, comfortable hotel in a good location near Madrid's international airport. Room was clean. However there were three negative issues I should note. One of these is severe: The room had a combination shower/bathtub. Like many people I prefer taking a shower to soaking in a tub. Less water, less time, cleaner. BUT! Using the shower in this room turned out to be a dangerous affair that could result in personal injury! As the photo shows, the shower uses a glass half-wall partition rather than a curtain to prevent water spraying outside the stall. BUT, there safety grab rails at all! to steady oneself getting into or out of the shower (and while showering) the only available hand-holds are the towel rack (too high for most people) the vertical rod that positions the hand-held shower head (NOT meant to be used as a grab bar!) or the glass edge of the spray control panel. Yikes! never use glass as a handhold! The bottom surface of the tub only has anti-slip strips in the half toward the shower head, meaning that you are treading on a slick surface as you exit the tub. To make it even more unsafe, not only are you stepping over the tub side, but there is a six-seven inch step down from the height of the tub floor to the bathroom floor. I slipped getting out but luckily caught myself! Minor: Fancy coffeemaker in room brews horrible coffee and is not designed for the provided mug size. Some areas cramped- getting around bed and the toilet. See photos.
Dangerous shower!
Note that non-slip strips do not continue to the spot where you exit the shower. (Those tiny grab handles are far to low to be of any use by someone showering!)
Cute, modern looking coffeemaker, but the provided coffee was HORRIBLE!
As you can see, the provided coffee cup is way too large for the place it needs to fit!

This hotel is conveniently located near Barajas Airport, especially T1 and T2. The area around is not particularly interesting and it is located right in front of a gas station. The hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable, but unfortunately the walls are paper thin, which is not great if the idea is to get a good night sleep before an early flight

Perfect when you need to be close to the airport
We stayed just for one night during a layover and could not have been happier. It was convenient to the airport and the hotel offered unsolicited on the various mode of transport and their costs, which we greatly appreciated! The staff were very friendly, the room was simple but comfortable. We ate at the restaurant for convenience, but were thrilled to discover the food was exceptional.
