Overall, a good value...

We had to change our room due to a barking dog in the next room. Restaurant/Tavern service was a little slow and my draft beer was flat and a little sour (which could be normal for that beer...). The room was clean and well equipped and the complimentary breakfast was good. Overall, good value, however and in a good location for what we wanted to do.

The room was very nice and the location was great. There was a de humidifier in our room which was helpful but it was very dirty and full when we arrived. Friday morning we went to breakfast at 6:30 and the staff was very nice. We didnt realize on Saturday it wasnt available until 7, when we arrived at 6:40 the staff was very rude and said "its posted riggt there, not until 7:00!" Overall our stay was good, just lacking in some areas

Okay Stay

It was an okay stay for the most part. The room could've been a little cleaner. There was a french fry on the floor and my son didn't use the blanket because there were what looked like blood stains on it. The people next to us must have had a little party or something because it was really loud as we were trying to go to sleep. In the morning we were woken by doors slamming in the hall. We found out about the pool only when we checked out. We were only there for one night, so didn't complain. The breakfast was really nice with lots of options including eggs and sausage.

Appears to be an older building, which would be okay. However, third floor hallways are barely lit so it was giving The Shining. There were hairs on the sheets, and a stink bug was living in the shower. I honestly felt like I was the one intruding on the stink bug. The underside of my mattress had a decomp stain :,)

The hotel is incredibly close to the main historic area as well as some of the outlying hiking and other places to visit. The hotel itself is a little dated and the breakfast is nothing to write home about but it's serviceable.

Good, with a few problems

The room was comfortable and large. I appreciated the free breakfast buffet with hot eggs and sausage and a waffle maker. The staff were all around very good! A few gotchas are: bathrooms need a refresh, the business center did not have a working printer though a printer was right there and I was told the computers were only for browsing - needs a printer, the exercise room, though small, was good enough, except tiles coming off the floor were a trip hazard and the treadmill program didn't work; internet kicks you off after not very long and you have to keep re-connecting to the wireless. However, I would stay there again.
