Every one on staff were very professional pleasant and helpful . Lily, Howard, John. A real pleasure to complement my stay at the Breakwater. I enjoyed my room. I would like to suggest the pool area be improved with more tables and sitting chairs and towel racks & cleaning the pool & glass.

Nobody anywhere says that the courtyard has a nightclub with loud music. At first I didn’t mind when I came home from dinner because I saw there are two windows with heavy drapes that when closed blocked out most of it. So I opened the window and enjoyed the music while preparing for next days meetings. But after 11 they played some horrible edm to the basically empty club and the windows and drapes could not block out the driving base. I complained to the front desk and they offered to move me but by then it was 12:30 and it. Wasn’t worth it. They did turn it down a little. The next day they moved me to room 226. No closet to hang my work clothes! An Iron and no ironing board! And a saggy bed with a mattress like from your grandmothers lake cabin that came with the house. I discovered this after arriving late after a looong day of meetings and dinner w clients. Although I had prepaid three nights I checked out and ate the $125.00 to stay somewhere else

PROS: An old building with nice large renovated rooms. Staff were bery nice. Restaurant, bar and entertainment located onsite. Beach and shops just minutes away. CONS: Pool is way too small (3ft deep), no gym onsite so have to use the sister hotel (Victor) located 10 minutes walk away, elevator very slow and gets annoying. Also, no Netflix option on the room TVs.

Everything was great. I even made two reservations, and they let me just leave my stuff n in the room, check out, and check in again. This is my favorite spot to stay in South Beach. However, there is some wear and tear starting to show. The carpet in the room had a lot of stains by the door, and it was sticky. We also found a baby cockroach. It wasn’t to concerning, as we know from living in Florida and Georgia our whole lives that roaches are a normal part of life, but you would rather not have them, ya know? Anyway, enjoy your stay!!!

Second stay at this hotel. Great location and iconic building Front of house staff all helpful We stayed in. What I think was a refurbished room. Bathroom tiles just gorgeous. The mattress was the best I've ever slept on!

We loved the spacious junior suite. Extremely comfortable bed. Only negative was that the room was not as cool as it should have been, but staff was very accomodating with the willingness to change rooms or provide a fan. Our stay was wonderful.

Pretty good all round for a comparatively inexpensive hotel room. Nice front patio for food and drinks. The included breakfast is at a different hotel a few blocks to the south, and was decent. Check in was decidedly not good. The clerk was rude and tried to scam us into paying an additional amount saying the room had not been paid for, which it had been, in full, in advance.
