We always love staying at LaPlaya. The staff are so nice and it's very clean. The food is excellent even with a limited menu due to the recent storm.

Visited shortly after Helene blew through, and repairs were still underway but hotel still operated smoothly. Staff (front desk, valet, restaurant) were uniformly friendly and very accommodating. The room was wonderful, nicely furnished and prepared. Elevator area a bit off, though, with peeling labels, metal plate missing to reveal inside—generally out of keeping with rest of the hotel. Overall the vibe was wonderfully relaxed and low key, but great service, including restaurant (including food);

The pool was closed due to the storm, no beach service, chairs… even with no more rain. I did get the room upgrade and the resort credit, but they also just gave us a discount on the hotel rate. Nobody pays $380/ a noite to just stay in a room looking to the ocean. The whole “resort” concept wasn’t there. The front door staff was friendly, Ballen had a great service/ food. But the “resort” wasn’t there. As always I loved book with Expedia, making the whole process simple. Thank u Expedia.

We loved the beach and pool area. The restaurant was on the more expensive side. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The parking was valet only and a little pricey. The car was brought to us in a timely manner and they were very polite.

For supposed high end resort- disappointed
The view was amazing. But little things were not done. Coffee in room was cheap and bad. The pull out sofa was horrible. And only 1 elevator for 15 floors . Is that even legal? Only 1 place to get coffee-to go- and only 1 girl serving. And you want over $8 for a small cup. Ridiculous. So not classy.
