Took 4 interventions to open the room door. The door had to be forced open by a shoulder hit. Once opened the locking mechanism did not function, the safety chain was broken. Staff had to assign me another room. My safety & security was my big concern. I am 79 years young and have used this facility for 55 years. Lots has changed. Mould around the bathtub enclosure. Door issues in room # 222. Cleanliness issues in room # 221.

building felt pretty dated, like 1/2 the property in disrepair amidst renovations? advertised as resort, but 2/3 of amenities unavailable. Pool, (out of order), hot tub (o.o.o) bar and restaurant, (o.o.o) sauna (o.o.o) mattress was dreadfully uncomfortable like sleeping on plywood or something. And this ice machine outside my room had a loud hiss going on every 20 mins all night long. Wouldn't recommend.

The room was very nice and big i was surprised at the size. The building and some of the areas are dated and could use a freshen up. Which appears to be in process. The breakfast was good and a nice choice was given. I was pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay here again it was quiet and comfortable

Bikers invaded the entire yard in front of 3 or 4 rooms and nothing was done about it. Couldnt use my patio doors. They may have paid for rooms but they were absolutely intruding on space i paid for. Some things were deteriating, like the patio door, cracked shower.

Liked the field beside the hotel for walking and playing with pets. Didn’t like the very old dirty carpets or the unclean patio to our room. Didn’t like the back exit door propped open with a stick, it felt unsafe and I’m not even sure if it locked. Although I do look honest, I don’t like that I was given an extra key to my room, by staff that I hadn’t seen on check-in, without showing ID.

I had a disappointing experience at this hotel recently. The premises appeared neglected, with dimly lit and dusty areas, a damaged hallway, and a musky smell in the room. The amenities were not available, and the overall impression was that the hotel needs serious maintenance.

Hotel rooms and facilities in desperate need of a full renov & update. None of the public washroom stall doors would close or lock. It's one thing to have an old facility but much more could have been done in terms of superior housekeeping and cleanliness. Rooms were dark and needed better lighting. The shampoo packet in our room bathroom had been ripped open and used. There were a couple of hairs on the counter that were not ours. The best thing were the hand bars of soap, they were nice and big and could be used for more than 2 showers. Also the shower stream, pressure and temperature were excellent. Breakfast provided is poor, too many carbs-breads, bagels and cereal. There were a few fresh fruits and yogurt but little in the way of proteins/meat other than boiled eggs ( 3 days in a row). Plenty of beverages- coffee, tea, juices though, unlimited refills. Staff were polite and friendly. We should have had linen and bedding changes after the first 2 night's stay, but not. Maybe should have asked for it. You get what you pay for. We will likely stay elsewhere next year for our annual trip north.

They advertised a pool and hot tub which was the reason we booked. There was no hot tub and the pool was closed and staff admitted it had been closed for quite some time with no one working on getting it opened.

Our room was fine, however the room's condition wasn't great. The paint was peeling in multiple places, and the pool that was advertised was fenced and drained. There was some mold in the shower as well. It was clear that the hotel hadn't been very well maintained.

This place is an outdated dump. Sadly booked off the name and online photos .. greatly disappointing. Read the reviews! Against what it says on the website .. there is no pool, no hot tub, no sauna. There is no room service or attached restaurant. The rooms are large, they do have a microwave and bar fridge. The beds are hard. Our room door didn't deadbolt lock. Shame on you Expedia for even recommending it! Book elsewhere!

Besides the fact that it looked outdated and dingy (not like the photos), they advertise a restaurant serving breakfast and dinner but didn’t indicate Wed-Sun only. Lights & plugs didn’t work in bathroom & front nook/coffee area and room had an odour in 1st rm assigned. 2nd room had maggots all over bathroom counter. We got a refund & left immediately.

We had a very quiet night at the hotel. It was just outside of North Bay (approx. 10 min drive to downtown area). The room was.very clean and tidy but a bit dated. The TV was.very small for the King Suite room and tv reception/internet was poor. There is a Tim Hortons across the street. The continental breakfast was surprisingly good! We definitely would go back.

It was advertised in the photos of the room on the website that the suite had a jacuzzi in the room, but, upon arrival, there was only a jetted tub in the bathroom. I chose this hotel because it seemed to be elegant, but I am quite upset that I was mislead, and disgusted at the condition. To name a few things, the fireplace was dust covered and had someones cigarette butt that was left behind the mantle was covered in dust between the fridge and the kitchenette was a substance that has dripped for who knows how long. There were no ceiling lights only lamps. Outside there was garbage covering the lawn. The floor in the stairwell was also sticky. Signed upset guest Forgot to mention the only good thing about it really was that they were pet friendly.
