Too many people at the pool on hot days. The hotel sells day tickets to folks not staying at the hotel, not enough loungers for everyone. Paid too much money to have to hunt for a lounger at the pool. The employees taking food and drink orders at the pool were completely overwhelmed.

My husband was in the ICU and was not expected to make it. The staff was extra compassionate and put up with multiple relatives booking and extending rooms switching payments etc. They not only showed care and grace for me but were graceful under pressure when confronted by a well meaning friend who got frustrated when trying to pay the room bill on my behalf. The Flamingo was our favorite spot and will always remain mine.

Fun, beautiful place and fun with a kiddo. There were some electrical issues with our room but the hotel worked fast to resolve and we're thoughtful about easing the disruption. Minor point and wouldnt keep us from coming back but the 2nd floor room above us and hallway noise was surprisingly loud inside our room. The door across the hall slammed closed so loudly it woke us up a few times. It's an older place so I guess not totally sound proof. Pool is fabulous, staff very nice.
