This property was fabulous! Be prepared to walk up 1-2 flights of stairs with luggage. The staff is so kind and accommodating! They will take their time when checking you in to tell you about their recommendations throughout the city. The property is ideally situated near St Marks, but is far enough away that it is mostly quiet and not overrun with people. We would return here!

This is one of the most fantastic places I've stayed. The whole experience from the reception to the room to the stay was very gratifying. I wish I could find more hotels like this on my future trips and I would definitely, without a doubt, stay here again and again. The level of attend detail is another level. They do make you feel special and not just another number.

The hotel is unassuming from the front door, and you have to clime two flights of stairs (in a straight line, but it would be 2 flights in height), but it has a nice lobby/lounge area, and the staff is super-duper! The hallway has a killer low ceiling that I clobbered twice, despite the warning signs. It's a step down at the same time the ceiling goes down, so you have to watch your step but look up. The room was nice, but had no view. We were in room 8. The front door is just about 20 steps from St Marcos Square, which is really incredible.

Service was very good. Reveption staff member that we dealt with all 3 days was very helpful, happy to assist and happy to provide advice. Suggested improvement- we were directly above Callo S.Gallo so quite noisy. Perhaps soundproofing of windows would assist.

The hotel was in a perfect location and easy to find. Checkin was easy and our host was lovely and friendly and very informative and passionate about his beautiful city! It's a very old building but lovely inside and our room was gorgeous. The room has a kettle, hairdryer etc which is handy as you really don't want to take much luggage into Venice. The location is perfect, right behind St Marks Square. We had a fabulous time exploring and taking up some of our hosts recommendations. Thank you for a great stay

The location of this hotel is just a few minutes from San Marco’s square which was amazing. The staff at the front desk were polite, helpful and very knowledgeable. Our room was spacious enough for 4 people. It was very clean and we appreciated the welcome snack and water. The only negative was that the air conditioning unit barely worked. It was on but it did not cool the room very much which made it quite uncomfortable during the night.

I have nothing but GOOD to say at all about our stay here while we were vacationing in Italy. I’ll point out what I’d say are obvious to most stays in Italy, just because I think it’s good information for Americans like us. A lot of people on these apps leave negative feedback for these reasons, but just know that we’re in Italy and these factors are just about everywhere here. 1) there are steps to get to your room, sometimes a lot of them. 2) a lot of places don’t have elevators (this one does NOT). 3) the showers are small! I’m 6’4” and 240lbs… I fit, but it’s not like home, lol. Okay now that that’s over with, here’s the positive aspects of this place. 1. Location, location, location!!! Venice is confusing! This stay is just off the square so it is very easy to find. Take the 5.1 Traghetto from the train station and get off at St. Marks square. Walk to the west and then north at the end of the square. Maximum of 5-6 minutes walk. It’s also close to where a lot of the gondolas are. Lots of food and drink around every corner. 2. Super nice and helpful staff. Prepare to spend 15 minutes with the person checking you in. They’ll tell you how to use the Traghettos, where to eat, what sites to see and how to get there, etc etc. All with a map of the city. Then, they will walk you to your room (showing you where the roof top terrace is) and help you with your luggage. 3. AC worked great! Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!!

Hotel is old and needs little updating. Beds are small and hard. Had 2 rooms and both AC wasn’t great but worked ok. Stairs to get up to rooms kind of sucked. Overall clean and really close to a lot. Open in front and nothing around so felt really safe. 1 room had old round bottom tub which was hard to shower in other room had nice shower. Overall ok.
