Hotel is nice and they have a northern lights call. If it is visible in the middle of the night they will call so you don't miss it. Loved this idea

The parking lot is an absolute disaster, no lighting and little effort to maintain. When we arrived full of snow and never cleared, this snow then melted to flood the parking lot, as well as froze completely. Not to mention the fact that you have to walk about 200 meters to the front door (unavoidable). For the price of this hotel I expect better. Lacking in amenities and breakfast was ok….

The hotel is ideally situated along the main route for Iceland’s South Coast. With a spacious and clean room, the restaurant was also a highlight, serving local cuisine of elevated quality. A unique perk was the reception’s offer to schedule a “Northern Lights” call in case they became visible during the night. While they weren’t visible during our stay, we found this to be a helpful perk nonetheless.

Stylish hotel, mountain view room had doors that opened to the rear of the hotel which allowed us to take in the views of the mountain and sky at night. Facilities are good, staff were friendly and helpful. Nearby outside of the hotel facilities are limited but includes a supermarket, excellent pizza restaurant and no doubt several lovely walks. We were in a rush to see other places along the road but managed to walk up to the church and see the views over Vik in the morning, well worth a visit.
