If you can buy a pass to the breakfast buffet. Not a full European array but the staff is attentive. Valet parking costs $72 for overnight and there are no nearby parking garages. Street parking in DC is much reduced by the new bike lanes. Using Metro from either airport might be wiser.

We had an awful stay at this property. We got sick from the breakfast. we had in their cafe, they told us we had a $30 credit to use or lose per day and then found out we were charged for it. The rooms were incredibly small, not well appointed and there was no room service or mini bar as promoted. Furthermore the hotel itself was worn and dirty, The elevator situation was annoying to all. We waited up to 20 minutes for an elevator that has an odd system that requires you to enter your floor but no or only one would be available within 15 minutes. When I wrote to the manager of the hotel, they said sorry and said we hope we can do better next time. Outrageous!

Property location was great, with easy walking to all of the museums. Elevators were slow during busy times, waiting 15 min to go down and ended up taking the stairs. Frustration came with the $30 a day resort/destination fee. They charge you regardless but “give it back” with $5 per day uber credits, and $30 credit off the restaurants, So went the first day to breakfast and was told the buffet was $15 for kids and $27 for adults. Ages were never mentioned and was not listed on the menu. Was charged for 3 adult buffets for my two 11 year olds who ate a muffin and a box of cereal. Yes they got them from the buffet but that could have easily been a side or just a $15 charge. Just felt shady and a money grab. Lastly the fire alarms were going off (we were down in the lobby and kids were up in the room), so called them to let them know. There was even an announcement made about a potential fire. Our kids came running down 9 flights of stairs but no one else in the hotel seemed to panic or evacuate. Finally someone mentioned that it was a false alarm but no announcement was made to say that. Staff didn’t seemed overly concerned nor did they acknowledge how we may have felt.

We will not stay here again. It was impossible to reach someone from our room phone. A robot kept asking what we needed. After ordering room service from the front desk and waiting for one hour, the food was delivered in a bag like ordering from doordatch. The elevarators could use a cleaning. One day we left the room at 8:30 and came back at 4:30 and the room was not done. There was no safe deposit box in the room. I could go on and on

The food was deplorable but they changed $30 a day in a destination fee that could be redeemed in their restaurant. The wait staff at lunch did not speak English and she messed up our order and overcharged us. One morning I had hot water for 30 seconds and then ended up having to take a cold shower in the middle of winter. The concierge level closed their hospitality room on the weekends. This is a great hotel. Just need to have more restaurants remain open at night as there was only one bar and lounge, which was great, but you had a lot of children in there because it was the only place in the restaurant that was open for food. The restaurant was excellent very helpful very kind friendly but it would be nice to have more options for families to Eat. Parking is very overpriced, but it is DC. The staff was very professional and great location.
