The hotel is a little funky… shared toilets and showers and shared common rooms. My wife thought it was like a hut on the Tour du Mont Blanc. Rooms were comfortable and… great location! Close to train station and Old Town and lake.

The hosts were very nice, they make your stay very welcoming. with that been said, it was just a small confined space with a single bed to lay your head.. i guess you get what you paid for..please dont have your hopes up too much,

The location was convenient only 10 min walk from Zurich HB train station. But it was noisy in the night because the tram line is right next to hotel.

Needing a fan in a perfect position
I arrived on a very hot day and the staff had left before I realised I would need a fan; the room was very warm. The next night I had a fan which helped. The bed was not very comfortable. When I had any request the staff were very helpful. It is set perfectly on the river by a tram stop and near lots of restaurants and shops and not far from many interesting places

Krone Pop-Up in Old Town Zurich is super convenient to the Banhopf station with a tram stop directly in front of the property! For sight seeing - the tour boats also have a stop across the street. From the hotel, you can walk to most venues to enjoy the Old Town. Shopping and dining options are numerous. We enjoy the older building with this hotel. Overall, the bathrooms are clean. We did not experience inconvenience with sharing them to the rooms on the floor. Our floor was quiet as well. There was noise from outside. If this is something that bothers you, ask for a room that does not open to the road side. However, having the road side room, the view with the water and old buildings is beautiful. We enjoyed being able to see the sights through our window as well.

Basic but great
Budget single room so it met my expectations. It was clean and mostly functional. My only gripe was the mattress was super soft so not to my liking. Also the only plug was by the sink which was not particularly convenient. Location was great and common room/areas were fabulous

Very good and affordable choice. Recommended !
Nice river view. Convenient location. We got a room with a bathroom, not shared. This is a pretty basic place, not fancy but quite comfortable. It has a lift. I guess they could do something to improve the appearance of front of the building which honestly looks quite ugly. The front desk hours are pretty limited but staff is quite nice. Common areas are clean and convenient. Rooms are basic but quite clean and had all we needed for a short stay.

Very convenient but extremely overpriced
Very expensive for what it was. We arrived after 7pm so used locked box to get in and drop box to leave. Convenient, but no interaction with staff. We had our own bathroom but others didn't. Stayed above a bar open until 2am and so we got no sleep. Great location for catching a train, but should have been half the price.

Great stay!
Small but cute functional clean room. Thin walls and creaky corridor floors woke me up but didn’t ruin the experience. Communal bathroom was not an issue, it’s squeaky clean. I would have appreciated someone at the reception desk earlier than 9:00am. Americans note electric sockets are depressed, a regular plug adapter for Europe will not fit, need one with a small end.
